Our Services

NEOM is a new urban development planned in the northwestern region of Saudi Arabia with a total area of 26,500 Km2. Our role on this project was to provide environmental design services, developing an EIA in line with NEOM environmental guidelines and IFC standards in addition to developing a suite of environmental design KPIs to guide the design development process.

The MineAlert Project is technical study of coastal nickel mining impacts on nearshore marine ecosystems (coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass meadows) and the fisheries and coastal communities they support. The project involves a multidisciplinary approach of remote sensing and earth observation, sclerochronology of corals, mollusc shells and fish otoliths, and fisheries independent surveys to track historical pathways of mine waste toxins from ridge to reef and develop a framework for predictive early warning systems in the face of climate change, tectonic activity, and other natural disasters.

The Modon Saadiyat Marina and Promenade Project is located in Abu Dhabi, on Saadiyat Island. The Project is a mixed use development on the coast. The environmental scope included the preparation and submission of the Terms of Reference report to EAD. However, the Project was put on hold and therefore, no environmental baseline surveys or EIA was prepared.

The SEVEN Entertainment Complexes are located in several areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), such as Jazan, Madinah, Yanbu, Obhur, Makkah, Tabuk, Taif and Al Ahsa. The Projects comprise of entertainment and community focused leisure development for all age groups and host a mix of world class attractions and leisure facilities such as edutainment, wellness centres, bowling, retail, and food and beverage. The environmental scope consisted of developing an environmental impact assessment (EIA) study, including baseline surveys, such as air quality, noise, soil and groundwater quality and terrestrial ecology surveys. The EIAs have been submitted and approved by NCEC and the EPC obtained.

Seaworld Abu Dhabi is the region's first marine life theme park and has opened in May 2023. Our work involved preparing an EIA Report in line with EAD requirements, encompassing a number of baseline environmental surveys, and a water quality modelling and assessment study.

The project is envisioned to be the best amusement park in the GCC in terms of guest experience and world-class construction and sustainability standards. It is located just 40km from the center of Riyadh and forms part of the overall Qiddiya mixed-use development. Our work involved a number of services including preparing an EIA for NCEC permitting, waste management planning and strategy, and a number of technical studies to satisfy local authority standards and client requirements.

"The aquifer storage and recovery project is being developed by DEWA within the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. This project will consist of injection of desalinated seawater into the existing aquifer and is being designed and implemented to act as a contingency water supply source in case of any interruptions in water supply within the Emirate. Given the project’s highly sensitive location, a detailed site survey was conducted to establish baseline conditions within the reserve. This consisted of a visual survey as well as an in-depth ecology survey to identify flora and fauna within the reserve. Baseline testing for air quality and noise monitoring was also conducted. An EIA was conducted for the project, with special consideration given to impacts on ecology as well as impacts of long-term mixing of desalinated seawater with native groundwater."""

"This required environmental permitting services for two desalination plants being constructed within a plot in Abu Dhabi. The plants are being designed and constructed to serve irrigation demand and will have a total capacity of 4,500 m3/day on a plot area of 1,250 sqm. The scope of work consisted of a detailed site survey, desktop research, and identification of appropriate impacts and mitigation measures. Given the nature of the project, detailed hydrodynamic modeling, brine dispersion modeling, and a marine ecology survey were emphasized in order to analyze the impact on the project on the adjacent marine environment."

Misk City is located to the west of Riyadh in KSA and will be a regional and global centre for innovation, education and the creative industries. The scope included NCEC permitting, the development of a Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and full time supervision throughout the construction stages of the project.

Ras Al Khor Development Project is located next to Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary (RAKWS) in Dubai, and aims to give its residents and users views of the abundant flora and fauna species within the RAKWS. As the Project is located in an ecologically sensitive area in Dubai, the environmental studies prepared for the Project included an environmental impact assessmemt, compensation plan, and bird friendly building design code reports. The environemntal baseline surveys undertaken for the project included air quality, noise, soil and groundwater quality, and terrestrial ecology surveys (including avifauna survey).
