The project aims at producing an optimal solution for a multi-modal connection between the island and different assets within NEOM. As part of this project, Terra Nexus, forming part of the LDC team, looked at the comprehensive set of environmental factors for the Project and provided design advice in relation to the following components: soil, geology, ecology and biodiversity, hydrology and hydrogeology, noise and acoustics planning, dust and air quality, landscape and visual assessment.

Covering an area of 13 km2, the project aims to create a comprehensive lifestyle community including entertainment components, and essential supporting facilities such as public leisure areas, hospitality, residential, retail and social infrastructure, to be developed in phases. Terra Nexus conducted a comprehensive review of the DMP including the feasibility study comparing the automated Waste Collection System (AWCS) strategy against conventional waste collection methods. A waste generation model and cost benefit analysis has been prepared for the full development encompassing CAPEX, OPEX, and ROI. We have also reviewed the existing storage requirements and validated the design of a solid waste transfer station and onsite composting facility.

The Jebel Ali Beach Development involves the creation of a new mangrove eco-park on Jebel Ali Beach, in addition to multiple beachfront activations such as restaurants, watersports centers, and a marine research and education center. Terra Nexus was commissioned to provide design optioneering advice and ecological design support for the mangrove eco-park and marine research center.

The Diplomatic Quarter (DQ) is a luxurious residential area in Riyadh that celebrates regional architecture, and it is home to numerous foreign embassies. Terra Nexus has been appointed to provide environmental consultancy services, undertake the required environmental baseline and assessment studies for the Rehabilitation of Infrastructure Systems and Sewerage Water Treatment Plant Project at Safarat District (the Project). We were also responsible for securing environmental regulatory approvals for the Project, which was categorized as CAT II by NCEC.
